TabTrade — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
